Ryan grew up in Springfield, Ohio and graduated from Xavier University where he majored in Vocal Performance with a minor in Physics. He served as Music Director at St. Mary in Oxford, Ohio for six years and then held a position in Supply Chain Management for eleven years prior to transitioning back to music ministry in December, 2022 for the Queen of Apostles Parish Family. Ryan married his wife, Kristen, at St. Cecilia in October of 2013 and sang in the St. Cecilia choir from 2015 to 2022 occasionally acting as a substitute organist during that time. He and his wife have three wonderful children: Peter (7), John (4) and Michael (2) who were all baptized at St. Cecilia. During his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, studying mathematics, modern physics and sacred polyphony and listening to the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. Ryan will now work full-time as Director of Sacred Music acting as director of the St. Cecilia choir, organist and vocalist among additional responsibilities.
