Vacation Bible School

St. Cecilia's Vacation Bible School, held during the week of June 20-23, 2011, was a tremendous success. Twenty-two (22) children participated in the program and 13 people volunteered their time in making it a successful event. Each day the children initially gathered in the school cafeteria to sing songs lead by Mary Ann Ranz and then were escorted back to classrooms by leaders and volunteers who taught them bible lessons. Children also participated in activities each day to help reinforce the day's lesson.

On the last day, children gathered outside on the church lawn to eat cup cakes, ice cream and fruit while participating in games and activities designed around the week's lessons. Thank you to ALL those who were instrumental in making this wonderful event happen. The kids had so much fun and their eagerness and excitement expressed each day was a joy to share.

St. Cecilia would specially like to acknowledge Colleen and Hannah Donovan for all the time and energy put into co-chairing the event. Your time in buying all the supplies, cutting out activities, and decorating the cafeteria was greatly appreciated. Your special touch and attention to details made the program very memorable.

On behalf of Fr. Jamie and the entire Parish community ... Thank YOU! Thank you to the children who attended, the volunteers and leaders who helped with the program, and to you, the parishioners of St. Cecilia, for supporting this program.
